One of the benefits of assessment in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector is the ability to use experience in the workplace as part of formal assessment. This workplace evidence can be submitted as part of a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) application or as evidence towards a qualification or skill set being undertaken with a workplace assessment component. This evidence is verified by suitably qualified parties in the workplace, such as workplace supervisors.
